Football fans in Canada who want to buy shares of the Green Bay Packers can now do so.
The club of the NFL announced Monday that it now complied with the requirements of Canadian regulations in this area and it was now selling shares to the north of the border.
Each share costs $ 250. In the U.S., there is also a management fee of $ 25. These will be $ 35 in Canada.
The only publicly owned club in the NFL, which had initially offered 280,000 shares, said he was still selling 17,000 shares on Feb. 14. The sale will end no later than February 29.
Funds raised will fund renovations to expand the club’s stadium, Lambeau Field. The actions will not result in dividend and it is highly unlikely that their value increases.
