There is a fundamental step to begin the road to financial independence that is often overlooked and could be the difference between success and failure. This small step does not require us more than a few minutes of our time and some peace of mind to meditate.

When I meditate I do not mean nothing mystical or anything, but just think about our dreams. Perfect, we are clear that our finances need some adjustments and are ready to order them. But a key question immediately arises: why do I want to do that? What I’ll sacrifice a pleasure to meet today to earn money without a purpose?

Do we want to retire at age 40? Do we pay for the education of our children in cash? Do you aspire to buy an apartment for rent, and generate an additional revenue stream? Do we consider important to change the car every five years to travel once a year with the whole family? Do we have a certain amount to invest in a business? We all want something. I can not express in simple words what is vital in this exercise. The answer to this question and our clarity regarding the same will be the engine that drives us to keep heading in this new financial life. Without clarity on the other hand, the deviations will make sense and it will take more time and effort to accumulate wealth.
