Buyers of guaranteed income products are more invested in the stock market, even in turbulent times, according to a recent survey of U.S. insurer Prudential. According to him, guaranteed products generate income for life and have a reset option which crystallized the gains in equity markets. Guaranteed income products serve as the refuge for investors stung by market volatility. Nearly half of them say they are reluctant to invest more in mutual funds, while three in five believe that being too “aggressive” is the main risk for their assets.

Matrix Fund Management launches equity fund high-dividend of Canadian companies. This is the “first product receiving the license for the Dow Jones Canada 50 High Dividend in Canada,” according to Matrix.

Investment Funds

Investing in mutual funds is formalized through the acquisition of shares of a particular Collective Investment Institution-IIC. The transfer or redemption of investment fund shares to the holder generates a capital gain or loss is calculated by the difference between the price of transmission (reduced by the costs involved in the sale) and purchase price (increased by the expenses inherent in the purchase). Private Equity Certificates provide an interesting opportunity to engage in the market and private equity firms to benefit from the potential profit opportunities there.

The term “private equity” refers to the participation of enterprises to participate in their growth and thus benefit their performance.

A basic distinction in private equity, two entry options: the introduction of a capital increase and the granting of loans, which is used primarily in young companies, and the entry for the purchase of shares that will be applied to existing listed companies, which stuck into liquidity problems or be in the red.

Most equity funds in Canada have posted negative returns in July, for the third consecutive month, while stock markets were shaken by the European and American crises.

According to preliminary data from Morningstar, only seven of 24 index funds that track the Morningstar Canada classes of shares registered gains in July.

This is the category of precious metals shares, which performed the best by winning 4.6% in July. Indeed, precious metals rebounded sharply last month, while the issue of U.S. debt and future decisions on the crisis of sovereign debt in Europe were at the forefront of investor concerns.

The pension plans of individual system have slightly improved the average return in June. According to statistics from the Association of Collective Investment Institutions , the average annual return of 1155 stood pension plans, after deducting commissions, 2.53%. Although more than 2.15% at May 31 and 0.25% in April still hovers below the inflation right now is at 3.2% YoY (May data).
